Meet Jen
Jen Mulledy is the Sales Coordinator in the Staunton showroom, supporting the Design & Sales Team.
After returning to college a little later in life, Jen used her design education from the University of MD School of Architecture to start her own interior design studio. Networking within that community led her to successful design opportunities in high end retail furniture showrooms in Philadelphia and DC. She quickly found herself in upper management positions where she eagerly enjoyed learning the inner workings of running larger businesses. This broad knowledge base uniquely positions her to be a strong support system for Dovetail's designers.
Jen's "hobby" is best described as collecting hobbies. Many a previously learned and loved instrument, camera, sewing machine, drawing pad, etc. fill the corners of her tiny yet maximalist apartment in a recently restored hotel in downtown Staunton. On weekends she travels to her other home, an octagon shaped "tree house" (lovingly referred to as the Mushroom) in the woods of Bedford Springs, PA. There she spends time with her husband, Pete, and their two part-labs, Loki and Luna. And visits with her gaggle of grown kids as much as their busy schedules will allow.
Jen landed in Staunton during the pandemic as a refuge away from the DC metropolis. Though she is happiest traveling Europe and has logged a few solo trips, Staunton reminded her of those small European towns she had explored and so it took the place of the dreams of living in France at the time. More recently, her husband has joined her on some adventures across the pond and they've discovered that they actually get along better in Italy. Relationship goal: Tuscan pied-a-terre (and yes, collecting architecture around the world would also be one of Jen's hobbies with appropriate finances).
